stankovicmilan-blog:

“Don’t say it out loud. Not everyone has to know about my job really.” He covers her mouth, hushing her. “But you are my hot Chicka so. Anyhow. I’ve been fine. Bored but fine.” The older nods slowly giving her a playful poke. “You? How was your flight?”

Andrijana’s mouth fell open in shock when Milan confirmed how awful she looked. “Dude! Your not supposed to confirm it!” she groaned as he started to laugh. She couldn’t help but slap his arm lightly in response, knowing that he was teasing her. Nonetheless, she didn’t like her awful looks to be confirmed by him either, even if it was a joke, she still felt like it could be real. But his cheeky grin was enough to make her heart skip a beat yet again, not to mention the sound of his laugh…. Her big brother… She had missed him quite a lot when he had been away from home. Life just wasn’t the same without Mimi in her life. It was the biggest reason why she had decided to follow him to Korea after all.

”I’ve missed you too.” she mumbled, cheek pressed against his jacket as she relaxed in his hug. She had missed these hugs too, the feeling of it taking her back to their younger years in Serbia. Yup, she definitely was glad to be back by his side. Still, she curiously looked up at the mention of hot people. “Hotties? Really? Aahh~~ I love me some korean men!” she giggled, excitedly bouncing up and down and clapping her hands. And she kept on doing that as they walked to the car.

“Modern is good.” she replied happily, her eyes taking in the huge airport and it’s fancy environment. Wow. “It’ll take some time getting used to it, but it’s fine..” she added while searching her cellphone in her bag to make a picture. As she did so, her attention was pulled back by a disgruntled Milan harshly dropping her heaviest bag in the trunk. “Yaa! Be careful! That’s my make-up and my portfolio in there! Don’t break anything!” she hurried to his side and stared at the bag in person. meanwhile, her finger was pointing at her brother “Careful!” she added again.

The male was happy, it’s been a while since his ‘little’ sister was this close to him. Ofcourse they talked a lot via skype, through phone or webcam – but this was way better. He felt tears forming in his eyes as he hugged her even tighter, inhaling the scent of home. The scent that makes him want to fly back to Serbia just for a week or two. But he won’t. He has to build up his life here now. Something he’s been dreaming about his whole life.  The tight grip loosen and the older pulled back, looking at his sister. “Hmmh. Many good looking people. But all of them look way younger. It’s quite odd, I’ve guessed all people’s age wrong already.” He shrugged a bit.

He gave his sister the time to look at all the buildings and different types of buildings – remembering how shocked he was himself. After packing everything and placing it in the car they were ready to go ‘home.’
The comments of the younger lady only made Milan laugh as he stepped in the car. “Ag, you don’t need such things. You know you’re pretty enough without all the makeup. But I’ll be more careful when we get home – I’ll let you carry the bag yourself.” He grinned as she sat down in the seat next to him. Giving him a small annoyed look as they drive off.  The ride wasn’t that long, but the traffic was horrible. A car ride for ten minutes turned out in fifteen. But it didn’t matter. Milan and his sister had billions of things to talk about.

“So, I’m not in the mood to cook, tonight we’ll go out and have some dinner at the mall. They have a few good restaurants and nice shops all close to each other. Sounds great or are you still too sleepy from your flight?” Milan looked over at his sister once he parked his car in front of the building he rents. “I don’t want you to get sick or anything.” He mumbles a bit worried.

Ryuu leans his cheek on one of his hands, taking in the advice. It had been awhile since he’d had such an engaging conversation— usually he was just being pushed around by his boss or getting a few too many drink offers from people at the club. He was never one to fight back, so the most he could do was agree or politely decline. Milan, on the other hand, was actually listening to him. It was delightful.

“I guess I could try something like that,” he mused, a finger tapping his glass. “From what I’ve heard, there should be something like that around here within a few months…” He’d have to ask Luciana; she was the one who usually went to such things.

“S-Sure thing! I’ll let you know as soon as I talk to her.” His cheeks lit up a bit when he said he could call him. “I’m pretty free too. I mean, when I’m not at class or work, but I have a lot of time between those,” he returned, perhaps a bit too excitedly. His face flushed farther, however, when he said he might see him at work. “A-ah… maybe. Though, I should probably tell you something about my job. I’m not exactly a bartender…” he trailed off, eyes moving to the wall to observe an extremely uninteresting plank of wood.

The stutters from the other where quite amusing to the serbian. He liked it when people where shy, stuttering or blushing. Which is what Ryuu seem to be doing all the time already. “Well then, great you are free too. I’ll make sure to claim your free time if you’d like.” He gave the other a playful wink. Knowing it will make the shyness even worse. “So, class? You study? The only classes I’m taking are Korean to be honest. I need to figure out how the writing Works, still its still odd to me.” He chuckles. Milan wasn’t one of the fastest to learn. He calls himself rather stupid.

Milan chuckled lightly looking at the others face, ‘No bartender?’ He thought to himself. ‘Figuring out by the looks he might be something for a dj. But it’s not something you would hide, right? Maybe some entertainer. Or… Oh god keep yourself together.’ He shook his head trying to keep his mind down. Ryuu was handsome, people probably be on their knees for him.  Milan directly took a large sip from his drink, trying not to stare too much at the other male. “Not a bartender? Then what is it if I’m allowed to know.” He looked up again with another cheeky and sweet smile came on his face.  “You know. Escort might sound horrible. But if people can’t deal with the fact I need the job they can piss of. It’s who I am. So, It can’t be worse then that right? It’s not like I’d Judge you.” He said calmly, trying to make the other feel relaxed.

He was actually interested in his writing? That made Ryuu a lot happier than it should have. Perhaps it was because he never had the guts to tell most people that he did it, so no one even knew. “Well, I usually have a notebook or two with me when I’m off, so maybe if we run into each other again…!” He nodded along with Milan’s warnings, feeling quite the same way about typical results of entrusting your writing to someone else. “I actually have a friend who’s husband is a publisher, so… that might help. And I know for a fact she’d never let him get away with something like that, though he doesn’t seem like the kind who would do that. But you never know.”

The blond took the cookies with a quiet thanks and nibbled on the edges. “Yeah, I can do that! She’s really sweet, so I’m sure she could give you something right away!” he said, smiling against the edge of the sweet. The other’s excitement was clear, which was a relief; he was afraid the offer might have come off as awkward or creepy.

Ryuu took the piece of paper, scanning it over before tucking it into the pocket of his jeans. He then pulled out his own piece of paper and wrote his own information. “This is mine; so you can know it’s me and such.” He leaned back into his seat, drawing a leg up to rest an elbow on his knee as the conversation continued. “W-well, it’s a science fiction type thing. It’s set on this futuristic planet is another galaxy, where they contain anything organic and keep it away from the rest of the world. But then this girl— Kho— is able to escape and tries to live in the above ground world. I-I’m still writing it, but that’s about it really.”

Milan just smiled at the other as he talked. It seems like he finally found someone he could just have a normal and calm conversation with without being jumped at or being flirted to dead. Not that the Serbian minded flirting – but a normal conversation could be nice as well, sometimes even better. Besides Ryuu doesn’t seem like such person who gives in way too easy. Milan thought Ryuu is more the kind of shy person that never gives in on flirts.

“Maybe you should ask her husband to try your story and maybe even print a few copies? I heard book conventions sell great now and then. So if you try to sell yours at such place I think it might be a success. If you interact with potentional costumers and they find you charming it’s even more in the pocket.” Milan slowly nods and explains, remembering it’s a thing they did back his home. It worked out now and then with friends of him who wrote as well. Of course they didn’t get that large because Serbia isn’t a large country.

“If she would, that would be great actually. Really.” He nods slowly as his eyes dropped on the others hands. A small smile formed on his face as he saw the other did the same. He took the small piece of paper in his hands once the Asian male shoved it to him. “Ah Thanks.” Milan said politely while putting the piece of paper safely in his wallet, knowing he will lose it if he won’t.  “Ah I see. It’s quite cool by the things I can hear huh? I’d really love to read a bit anytime. Now you’ve got my number and all so. Feel free to give me a ring anytime. I rarely have something to do in the day. Weekends can be a bit though because of my work but if I know it on time I can always make some time so. “ He chuckles – nodding slowly. “Besides, I might bump into you when you work, atleast if I’m not too tired from working. And when I feel like it.” He added with another bright smile.

thelandbeyondtheglass:

“Y-yeah, that’s how it goes, I guess.” His expression relaxed a bit when the other explained. It relaxed even further when he explained what he did. “I know what escorts are. I know… well, I knew few guys who did that. Sometimes people just want company, so it’s kind of a cool concept, just spending time with people.” He had always admired the escorts back at Hellion, mostly because they had a special position of respect above the other workers. Some of them were even genuinely nice to the other workers.

“It’s a nice place,” he said, stutter beginning to fade. He listened again as he spoke, laughing with him at the joke and nodding as he explained how he spent so much time on his music. “It’s really cool how dedicated you are to your music,” he told him, hands running around the edge of his cup. He did the same sort of thing with his writing when he had the time. “I have a friend who’s the same way— he never leaves his guitar alone.” Maybe he and Matthew would get along; who knew? “I hope it works out for you. W-what kind of music do you play?”

Milan took a few more sips of his coffee, enjoying the warmth in his mouth heat up his body. Ryuu seem like a cool person. Most of the time people where freaked out about his job. While he just seem to be respectful and chill about it. It also felt like he was becoming more comfortable as his stutters slightly started to disappear and the conversation slightly started to roll. Not like it’s some forced dialogue. He gently placed his cup back and nodded at the others words. “Music is passion, even sort of the same as love. It’s a good cry out, shout out and output for pain, fear, anger. I can’t describe it properly. It’s just something that keeps me alive. One thing I’m only good at.”  He explained and chuckles. “Your friend probably has the same musical infection as I do. – I’m sure you’ve got something just like that. Even if its gaming, drawing or poetry. We all have our little output we’re secretly proud of.” The Serbian speaks quietly, adding a small wink to the other.

“I sing all kinds of music actually. Serbian pop music, classical. I just try whatever works and feels right.” He said briefly. There wasn’t much besides that explainable about Serbian music he guessed. Just the main and traditional tone in the background maybe. “If I ever feel like performing on a free podium in this city I’ll let you know so you can figure it out yourself whatever I play.” He suggested. Secretly wishing he’d see Ryuu again anytime soon.

The blond smiled a bit more when he offered him a seat. “T-Thank you,” he said as he sat down. He listened to the other with interest, crossing his arms on the table in front of him and leaning forward slightly. It was sweet the way he talked about his friends, and it was obvious they meant a lot of him, the way he smiled and went on. “That sounds like a lot of fun!” he chirped when the other took a break from his story. “It’s always good to have friends you can do that kind of thing with.”

And then he asked about work. Shit. “Eh… I, uh, actually work at the club up the street,” he admitted sheepishly, worried that it might put the other off. Most people didn’t exactly react kindly to learning he was in such a line of work, and if he didn’t have people willing to protect him, he was sure he would have a lot more bruises and scars than he’d like [which was, really, none].

“It’s alright! I-I’m Ryuu. It’s really nice to meet you, Milan.” He took a sip of his coffee, letting its heat warm him to the point where he sighed in content. “Do you mind if I ask where you’re from?”

Milan smiled even brighter as the other seem excited and interested in his little story. It’s just one of the chapters in his life - he guessed. One of the silly things he does to stay happy and alive. Tilting his head lightly as he started about the work. A small frown formed on his face as he put on a stingy face. “That’s one of the shittiest jobs ever I can imagine.” He mumbled. “I mean, drunk people all the time. You need to be as fast as lightning. Keep focused all night. It’s nothing for me really.” A soft chuckle escaped from his lips, imagining how he would try to archive and do such work. Knowing himself he’d add too much alcohol in cocktails or drop the glasses when he tries to mix up things. “But that explains a lot why you’re sitting here enjoying a drink.” He nods slowly and smiles.

“Ah but the pleasure is all mine Ryuu.” Again his usual rather big smile showed off. Milan enjoyed talking to strangers. Especially when they turn out this kind, it made him smile and happy. “I’m surprised you ask it this late, normally It’s the first thing people ask me.” A playfull grin came on his face this time, slightly amused by the intrest. “I’m from Serbia. One of the Balkan countries in Europe. – I moved here because I needed a break from everything I know there; my missteps and mistakes. This sort of is a new – clean start.” To him the past in Serbia was just too much to deal with right now, he’s been through shit. But he can’t say it like that on a first time talk can he? Maybe Ryuu would think he’s some kind of psychopath and freak.

“Plus, look around. It’s so different. Compared to the old-fashioned historical Serbia this is like a science fiction movie.” He joked before taking another large sip of his coffee – thinking about something to ask the other. “So. Tell me about you? You seem like someone who’s more closed- I figured out. More the shy kind of person. Anything else I should know?”

thelandbeyondtheglass:

Ryuu was surprised by the sudden engagement. It wasn’t that it was unwelcome— it was actually rather nice to have someone to talk with outside of his usual group of friends. He loved them all to death, but he already knew most everything about them. Strangers were exciting, new; but they were also terrifying. There was always the chance they had ill-will. Luckily, though, this one seemed plenty nice.

He took a moment to take in the other, immediately noticing that he was rather gorgeous. He did his best to push that note out of his mind, as cute males tended to make him the most nervous [perhaps that’s the reason he was always stuttering around his roommate, despite how long they’d known each other]. The second note was his accent; having one himself, he took an odd comfort in it.

“Y-Yeah,” he replied, turning slightly so make the conversation slightly more natural. “Boss has me working odd hours, so I’ve been up around now a lot lately…” He smiled at the boy and shrugged. “What about you?”

Milan smiled even brighter as the male didn’t seem to hate it when he talked to him. The Serbian looked at him from head to toe for a second before resting his chin in the palm of his hand, as if he had to support his head this way. Not bad looking, if you’d ask him. He seem like a nice person and of course good looking as well. Only a bit younger? Actually Milan couldn’t tell how old he would be. He has miss-guessed almost everyone in his life.

“Please take a seat, I’m not expecting anyone.” The Serbian said with his, usual sweet and soft voice. “I’ve been Skyping before with my friends home. Sometimes I just need to see them you know? So we promised to skype once a month, sometimes twice.” He explained while as usual, using a lot of gestures while he was talking. “But we screwed up the promise and it’s been our 3rd conversation this week so. And we actually don’t say a thing. We just sit there and laugh it off in each other’s face.” Milan bit down his bottom lip realizing he was talking too much again. The Serbian took a long sip from his drink and showed off his brightest smile.

“Work? Mind if I ask you where?” He tilts his head curiously. “Ah, and I’m Milan. Such a rude manner of me not introducing myself.” Milan was quite a social and open person. Still it seems like it was hard to make friends here, this time he was slightly hoping he won’t just be a three second chat or just an easy talk with the other male. The other who seem a bit closed and shy, something Milan might be able to help with.

thelandbeyondtheglass:

It had been a long night, and Ryuu was mentally cursing himself for letting his boss work him so hard. He had class at nine, and he hadn’t left the club until the four. Now it was nearly five, and he was falling asleep on his feet.

That’s when he caught sight of a small coffee shop. It took little convincing for him to enter and buy something that would at least keep him awake for the rest of the trek home. It took him a few minutes to notice that there was someone else in the shop who was looking at him— though he couldn’t tell if the look they were giving him was good or bad. Instead of addressing the issue, the blond elected to sit down in a booth and see if it would resolve itself.

Late nights behind the computer. It happened now and then.
The Serbian male liked to waste his early morning or late night – however you like to call it - on Skype with his old friends.  Ever since the male moved it felt like his heart was empty. Not to lie, he loves the city here. But friendship was never found ever since he moved. A soft chuckle escaped from his face as his friends on the screen smiled brightly and blew him a kiss through the screen. A vision that made his heart sting a bit. Still, he kept his usual happy and smiling face and returned it before signing off. Milan stretched his back from side to side and decided sleep won’t be something for him right now. Perhaps a long walk and a little treat afterwards?

With that he made a walk in the city, enjoying the silence and calm at night. Well calms, if we look-over the few drunk people shouting and singing in the park. Milan just chuckled lightly. Remembering his little drunk adventures back then in the Balkans. A few steps and minutes later he spotted a coffee shop, open? It clearly was open which made his night. He entered the shop and directly ordered himself a large cup café late, along with some sweet’s. He turned around to walk to the sugar table and added some sugar and milk, giving his coffee a good stir. The spot he’ll be sitting was directly chosen, somewhere where he could see everything.

With that he sat down and looked around at people. Sometimes even stared, which was his bad habit. He stared at people even though it didn’t ment a thing. The enjoyment of looking at people was for him just too much fun. He always ended up building up stories about them or scenarios wherever they could go. Milan looked up to some male that entered the shop, as usual – he was staring. When he gets closer he earned a smile from the Serbian, to show he’s polite before he took a long sip of his coffee. “Up late?” He suddenly asked to the male with his slight foreign accent.

Another trip

yonggukkpm:

He blinked while he listened, nodding vaguely. ‘Yeah, that’s the plan, I guess. So you’re from there? Europe? Then I guess I can take your advice.’ He turned back to the screen while the other mentioned all the different destinations, biting his lip while he thought. Definitely not Paris or Rome, then. He couldn’t use any romance in his life at the moment.

‘Serbia, eh? Language isn’t an issue, I’m not planning on conversing that much if I’m honest.’ He scanned the board, quickly finding the departure times for Serbia. It actually sounded like a pretty good idea. 'Is the food nice there? I don’t know what to expect, I guess. I’ve never been to Europe before.’

“Serbia isn’t bad. But you sure need a bit knowledge of the language. Some people there don’t know a word english so it sucks. The food, I don’t think it’s bad. But I grow up with it so.” He thought for a while. “Besides, If you don’t like the food you can always go to the fast food restaurants and salad bars, thats something I mostly do when I go to a different country.” He chuckles.

Milans eyes rolled over the boards and looked at the seats left. A few are still left, this guy could always go to Serbia if he wishes it. Milan won’t mind translating parts for if he has to book a hotel or anything. “European weather isn’t the best always. It’s quite fine but not the best or warmest. But Europe is special. I think you should been there sometime.” Milan smiled and nodded. “Besides, if you go to Serbia you can always go to Russia and tour around that way. Visit most country’s. But I think you need to choose quickly because it seems like they won’t sell the tickets that long anymore.” Milan explained with a lot of large gestures. Giving the asian a small smile.
